What Roof Replacement Involves
Roof replacement starts with a full tear-off. We strip away every old shingle, nail, and piece of debris, down to the roof deck. That deck—usually OSB or plywood—gets a careful inspection. If we find rot, decay, or sag, we replace those sections before anything goes on top. Skipping this step means your new roof fails early.
Next comes the underlayment. We use synthetic underlayment, which resists tearing and handles Newark's humidity better than old felt.
